It boggles my mind that millions of dollars are spent each election cycle to produce commercials, billboards, magazine and newspaper ads, and those litering road signs. As I drove down Monroe Drive in Atlanta the other day, multiple houses…otherwise nice looking…had signs for either Abrams or Kemp to be the next governor of Georgia. Why campaign for them? Oh yeah, there are those crazy, self-hating, community-hating Log Cabin Republicans. They end up getting bleached out by the sunlight, getting rained on, getting peed on by dogs or other animals, or blown over by strong winds and tend to be forgotten. This is really a bad thing when you are driving down a road and alongside the road are multiple signs all bunched up together. We should put one there too. I hope everyone that is registered to vote does so on Tuesday. I also hope that those who have yet to get registered to vote do so afterward so that they are ready for the next elections.

A recent report by Human Rights Watch examines how Chinese parents threatened, coerced and sometimes physically forced their adolescent and adult LGBT children to submit to conversion therapy.

Yet in April, when Chinese microblogging site Sina Weibo decided to impose its own, apparently unofficial ban on gay content — erasing more than 50, posts in one day — Beijing seemed to mirror the disapproval of internet users. Still, LGBT activists say conservative social attitudes in China are just as big a problem as government restrictions.
